  • I cannot believe the time span of these individuals being dumped here is so far apart. Really makes me wonder the reason to keep dumping men of all ages and all times in the same place. If they began so early and were never caught then I'm sure that's why it continued. Makes me think about Tom Stump and many other cases in Florida. Do they have any of the persons identities yet? I am very curious to hear more about this. Thanks for posting and letting me know when they first found the bodies. Wonder too if they all had the same killer?

  • Hello, So far there are no new updates regarding this investigation. During the press conference the actual word used to describe the dental work was - superlative - interesting.... Maybe it was the dentist??? Thanks so much for posting!

Update 2 - Murder & Myspace.com

Update 2 - Murder & Myspace.com

8 out of the nine principals charged in the torture-murder of the 21 and 14 year old are now complaining about their treatment in jail. One of these people is actually requesting that case law be forwarded to him as soon as possible. Another wishes to use the phone at a more convenient time. And still yet another has already battered a deputy with a phone.

But really, should anyone be surprised?

It seems that in jail they are subject to immediate sanctions when they don't follow the rules. Apparently they feel they should be able to do whatever they want to whenever they want to and because they are not able to, they feel they are being treated unfairly.

Another one of their cumulative concerns is that death threats have been made against them by their roommates.

It would seem they have not one iota of the irony of the situation. All of them are at the mercy of someone else.

So far not one of them has said anything to the effect of I'm sorry.

 Read the article.

Update...05/23/07

Three of the infamous nine have already realized their fate. Two have plea bargained in exchange for their testimony, twenty years and twenty five years. The third tried to use the battered women's syndrome defense as her motivation for participating, too bad - so sad, she was sentenced to life in prison.

The Fort Myers 8 and America's Most Wanted...

What does the future hold for these skeletal remains?

According to an article that appeared today, Sunday August 19, 2007 in the local newspaper, America's Most Wanted has offered to put up the 20K it will cost to reconstruct the faces of The Fort Myers 8.

The Dale Earnhardt Law has put a hold on the famed crime fighting show from airing pleas for information to identify these individuals.

The police department is pursuing a court order to allow the release of autopsy photos, and filmed footage.
